The Grand Duck Restaurant first opened in 2009 in Batam Centre, Indonesia. By the end of 2015 we plan to open a branch in Singapore in line with our expansion strategy.
Our management is headed by Executive Chefs and Managers from Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. All of them have been professionally trained in their fields at 5 star hotels and leading restaurants.
Ingredient quality and authenticity in preparation has always been part of the Mr Alan Loo philosophy. Mr Loo had a vast experience in the Peking-style of cooking and he likes to experiment in his kitchen to perfect the best duck rice for the customers, along with the sauces.
Since then, Mr Loo has been refining the duck recipe over the years and is credited for introducing Grand Duck’s legendary crispy skin roast duck. Mr Loo and his culinary team helped to create the special duck rice and chili recipes enjoyed in the restaurant today.
